Flacco is more concerned about winning games.
During the NFL offseason, . The Broncos have been pitiful at quarterback ever since Peyton Manning retired from the league and with Flacco, the Broncos feel as though they’ll have a great chance of making it to the playoffs. During the draft, the Broncos opted to select quarterback Drew Lock as Flacco’s backup and potentially his successor. While Flacco is a veteran QB with a championship under his belt, he isn’t exactly embracing the mentorship role.
“Listen, I have so many things to worry about. I’m trying to go out there and play good football. I’m trying to go out there and play the best football of my life,” Flacco said according to ESPN. “As far as a time constraint and all of that stuff, I’m not worried about developing guys or any of that. That is what it is. I hope he does it well. I don’t look at that as my job. My job is to go win football games for this football team.”

While Flacco’s comments sounded a bit harsh, he ended up backpedaling, saying “Listen, I hope he does learn from me because that means we’re out there and we’re slinging it around and having a lot of fun.”
Flacco and Lock will have a tough task ahead of them as they will be taking over a Broncos squad that went 6-10 last season.
